Overview
Over 90% of Hawai’i’s energy comes from imported fossil fuel. The economic, environmental, social and political costs of this dependence on a non-renewable resource are severe. On Kaua’i we have tremendous potential to harvest our energy from renewable sources, such as wind, water and sun. Of course, part of building a sustainable energy future is reducing our own consumption.
